OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:  We will be asking for donations each month for OCC.  For the month of September, we will still be taking donations of school supplies and personal hygiene items like combs, brushes, barrettes and toothbrushes (no toothpaste).  A donation box is on the shelf outside the Nursery, where the black leather sofas are located.

SURGE YOUTH GROUP:  Youth group is open to all middle and high school students.  SURGE offers a place to be yourself, fellowship with others, do service projects and learn more about your journey with Christ including attending Youth Rally in January.  For more information contact Lynn Peters at 302-354-2629, text or call and email at or on our Facebook page.

CHURCH SECURITY:  For everyone’s protection, the Leadership Team and Trustees have decided that the doors to the church shall be locked on Sunday mornings.  Please be prepared to enter through the Welcome Center handicap accessible entrance.  A member of the security team will be at that door to let people in.  When possible, a security team person will be at other doors as well for convenience.  Thank you for your understanding.

SELLERS SENIOR CENTER BIBLE STUDY with Pastor Amy is restarting tomorrow, Monday, September 9 at 10:00am, meeting at Silverside Church, 2800 Silverside Road, 19810.  Study topic to will be determined. The class has grown considerably in the past four years! Make a friend, be a friend!

 FORWOOD MANOR BIBLE STUDY continues this Fall on Thursdays with Pastor Derrick at 1:30-2:15 for Independent Living, followed with study in the Assisted Living from 2:30-3:00pm. 1912 Marsh Road, Wilmington, 19810.  Atonement friends are always welcome to come, learn, and spend time with old and new friends.

LONE STARS:  Rebecca Circle is sponsoring a social evening for you "LONE STARS" on the last Saturday of the month.  This month it will be on September 28 at 6:30 p.m. for a subs and fellowship. This is a relaxed evening with christian friends.  Who are the LONE STARS?  Single people, widowed, separated, never married, divorced, one or all of the above who would like to share a social evening with other Christian folks.

PASTORAL CARE TEAM:  Are YOU considering a way to be part of a ministry here at Atonement Church? Prayerfully, won’t you consider being part of our pastoral care team? Following worship on the first Sunday of each month, the elements of Holy Communion will be prepared for servers to take out to the faithful of Atonement who are no longer able to attend services. FALL JUBILEE: We will be welcoming back John Hobbs and Kenny Davis for awesome music and time of worship on Oct. 27-28.

KNITTERS WANTED:  Attention knitters, crocheters or anyone that wants to learn, we would really like you to come join our group, Knitters for a Need.  We meet the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month from 1:30 - 3:00 to knit, crochet and socialize.  We regularly donate items to AI Dupont Children's Hospital, A Door of Hope Pregnancy Center, Operation Christmas Child, Forwood manor and we also make afghans to give to babies being baptized in our church.  If you don't know how to knit or crochet but are interested in learning, we have several women with years of experience that would love to teach you this wonderful hobby.  Bring a skein of yarn in your favorite color and a set of knitting needles (size 8 is best for beginners) or a crochet hook (size 5) and let us introduce you to a fun and rewarding way to minister to others!  We meed in the Library at Atonement Church.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY:  We are looking for a team of volunteers to serve in the nursery and KIDMO on a monthly basis.  Whatever time you can give would be appreciated.  If you are interested, please contact Mary Ryan at 484-433-0720.

EXERCISE & PRAYER ROOM:  Atonement has an exercise room and prayer room available to all, open Monday-Thursday, 8:30 - 4:30.

CARDS FOR MILITARY:  Anyone wish to send cards to Trevor Richards or any servicemen can do so by placing them in the manila envelope at the Welcome Center Desk and Mary Richards will make sure they gate mailed.

CLAYMONT COMMUNITY FOOD CLOSET:  The center is in need of support!  There's a round container located outside of the Welcome Center where you may drop off items.  You may also write a check to the CC Food Center.

ATONEMENT'S FOOD CLOSET:  Atonement's Food Closet serves many people in our church and community.  On average, we are handing out 20 bags/month.  We want to continue serving the Claymont community and beyond but need your help.  We are currently in need of peanut butter, jelly, cereal, rice, canned vegetables, crackers, applesauce, spaghetti sauce & noodles, and personal hygiene items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant.  Donated items can be placed in cart outside of the Nursery. 

SAMARITAN'S PURSE WELL WATER:  The Well Water ministry will now go towards Samaritan's Purse.  We have raised $2,433.77 to date.  To donate, please leave change in the water jug found in the Welcome Center.
