WOMEN'S RETREAT:  Come join Ruth West for a weekend women's retreat "Bouquet of Blessings" at Black Rock Retreat Center in Kirkwood, PA from Jan. 26-28.  Come join in for a weekend of joyful worship, inspired teaching, heartwarming sharing, and abundant laughter and tears!  Registration deadline is January 8th.  A $50 non-refundable deposit is required with registration.  If interested, pick up information flyer at the Welcome Center or contact Arlene Skotnicki.

URBAN PROMISE:  HOPE Community Church is collecting breakfast cereals for Urban Promise Upper Academy students to be used for their morning breakfast.  Most students come to school without breakfast so the principal began feeding the students cereal and fruit to start their day.  Donations can be left outside Pastor Amy's office.

BALANCING LIFE AND SPIRIT:  Join us for an hour of balance, flexibility, stretching and prayer Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. in the Youth Room.  Balance and flexibility is important in our everyday lives and our program is effective, and low impact for almost every fitness level.  Bring socks and water, that is all you need.  Text Patti Sexton if interested 302-354-0930.

CHRISTMAS PARADE:  This year the parade is on Dec. 2nd at 10:00 a.m.  Anyone interested in being part of the church's float can sign up at the Welcome Center or call the Church office.  This year's theme is Christmas Around the World.

GRIEF SHARE:  If you experienced a loss in your life whether new or old, you may need to join our Grief Share group.  This ministry is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.  Registration fee is $20.00.  Meeting every Thursday evening starting on October 26th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in room 102.  Consists of 13 weekly sessions.  It’s always open – meaning you can join at anytime.  Contact Laura Calzone, Director of Grief Share at 302-798-3540.

THANKSGIVING DINNER:  Everyone is welcome to come and join us on Thursday, November 23 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. for our 10th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner free of charge and no reservation needed.  As we do every year, we need volunteers to help greet our visitors, work on the serving line, clear tables and clean up.  Sign-up sheets are located in the Welcome Center or you can contact the Church Office at 798-8472 ex. 1000. 

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:  We are once again participating in the Operation Christmas Child ministry.  You can fill shoeboxes of items for a girl or a boy.  Some ideas are soap/washcloths, flashlights with batteries, slippers, socks, mittens, hats, scarves, small stuffed animals, etc.  They will not accept toothpaste or any hard candy.  All filled boxes will need to be at Atonement no later than Sunday, November 19th.  We also ask that you try to provide the shipping cost of $9.00 for any boxes you fill.

BUS MINISTRY:  We are looking to start up a bus ministry to provide transportation to our members that are in need of transportation to worship service, Bible studies, and events.  If you are interested, please see Pastor John.

CALLING ALL YOUTH:  Any youth grades 6 through 10 who are interested in forming a youth choir should contact Mrs. Bezilla at 475-4502 or at  Youth Choir rehearsal will be Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. before SURGE.

EXERCISE & PRAYER ROOM:  Atonement has an exercise room and prayer room available to all, open Monday-Thursday, 8:30 - 4:30.

CARDS FOR MILITARY:  Anyone wish to send cards to Trevor Richards or any servicemen can do so by placing them in the manila envelope at the Welcome Center Desk and Mary Richards will make sure they gate mailed.

PAPER RETRIEVER RECYING:  Place your paper products and broken/flatten cardboard boxes in our green and yellow paper-retriever to help better the environment.  Proceeds will benefit HOPE Church Missions and Service.  Thank you for your support!

CLAYMONT COMMUNITY FOOD CLOSET:  The center is in need of support!  There's a round container located outside of the Welcome Center where you may drop off items.  You may also write a check to the CC Food Center.

ATONEMENT'S FOOD CLOSET:  Atonement's FoodCloset serves many people in our church and community.  On average, we are handing out 20 bags/month.  We want to continue serving the Claymont community and beyond but need your help.  We are currently in need of peanut butter, jelly, cereal, rice, canned vegetables, crackers, applesauce, spaghetti sauce & noodles, and personal hygiene items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant.  Donated items can be placed in cart outside of the Nursery. 

SAMARITAN'S PURSE WELL WATER:  The Well Water ministry will now go towards Samaritan's Purse.  We have raised $2,433.77 to date.  To donate, please leave change in the water jug found in the Welcome Center.
